How To Get Kangana Ranaut's Tight Curls

So, you have straight hair but want Kangana Renault's tight curls? Here's how you can get them!
Nowadays everyone likes to switch types of hair. Straight, wavy or curly, you name it and you can get it. I was blessed with silky and straight Asian hair and trust me when I say I love my hair. However, sometimes it's fun to go curly.

I've grown up watching bollywood and Kangana Renault's hair stood out to me particularly because of her beautiful curls. I've only ever dreamed of having curls like hers, but now I can get tight curls in no time! And fun fact is that these curls can last for a week; my curls usually just stay for a day or two and sometimes they just turn into soft waves, but not with these curling methods!

Prep your hair
After washing your hair with shampoo and conditioner, spray amla serum to your hair. Usually when I curl my hair it gets really dry, but a bit of amla serum can easily solve the issue and give shine to my hair. In a spray bottle add 50% amla oil and 50% water, shake well before use and spray just a few times and brush the hair to distribute the product.

Choose your weapon
So there are two ways to achieve tight curls like Kangana's: 1) the heatless way or 2) using a curling iron.

1) Heatless Tight Spiral Curls Curling Method

If you don't want to use heat, working on damp hair grab a pack of disposable wooden skewers. Start by taking a thin strand at a time and wrap/curl it around the wooden skewers. Make sure to twist the strands and curl them tightly around the skewer. Secure the hair to the skewer with a thin rubber band and do this with all the remaining hair. Remember to be extra careful or you could poke yourself (you can break the pointy part of the skewers before using them). Just relax and listen to some music because this process may take a while. Let the hair dry and undo all your beautiful curls. Separate each curls from one another until you reach your desired look.

2) Tight Curls with Chopstick Curling Wand

For those who haven't got the time for option 1), there is a shortcut and that is by using a curling iron instead. However, not just any curling iron will do. You need to use a chopstick curling wand as it is thin and perfect for tight curls. I use Lee Stafford's Original Chopstick Styler Hair Wand and find it great to get lovely tight curls. Wrap thin strands tightly around the chopstick wand and hold it for 8-10 seconds then release it. Repeat the steps with the rest of the hair. Separate the curls from each other and you're done!

In the video below I show you how to easily get tight curls with a chopstick curling wand and I also share some easy ways you can style your curls. Go check it out!
